A summer skinny dip for Classique and Le Mâle

Every summer Jean Paul Gaultier brings out a collectible version of his famous women's and men's perfumes, Classique and Le Mâle, to the joy of collectors and fans of his work. This season, both limited editions were dressed in deep marine blue to conjure up romantic images of the sea and sun.

A transparency reminiscent of southern seas

In the spirit of his haute couture collections, Jean Paul Gaultier (who's fragrances are produced by Shiseido) adores surprising addicts of his perfumes with increasingly original and unusual limited editions. This summer he dreamt up a shimmering blue design for his famous Torso-bottles, blending tropical marine life, starfish and coral.

The attractive design was extended to the famous tin cans, in a mischievous wink at the brand, designed for the occasion in plexiglass to show the bottles inside. To decorate the cans, the French brand called upon SEELCAP® technology, the only process capable of recreating the magical three-dimensional underwater scene, while guaranteeing a tamper-proof component, a major concern of all luxury perfume brands.

A high fashion design

The made-to-measure solution developed by Sleever International for the fashion designer is founded on the group's ability to control each component. SEELCAP® is made from 50-micron high shine SI-PET-SF/050 film, whose high transparency reveals the bottle through the can and marvellously recreates the underwater effect sought by the Beauté Prestige International team.

This atmosphere was further enhanced by the work of the prepress studio and particularly successful 9-colour printing, both of which called upon Sleever International immense expertise. SEELCAP® tamper-proof feature, vital to such high-class products, reassures customers by showing that the perfume is intact prior to purchasing. SEELCAP® was applied using POWERSKINNER® in Shiseido's Gien plant.

A perfect illustration of the collectible spirit, both limited summer editions sold like hot cakes in perfume stores to the delight of all Gaultier's fans.
